Post-Doctoral Certificate

American Liberty University

A Postdoctoral Scholar Certificate program is an individual holding a doctoral degree who is engaged in a temporary period of mentored research and/or scholarly training and classes for the purpose of acquiring the professional skills needed to pursue a career path of his or her choosing.

Philosophy:

American Liberty University Postdoc courses prepare forward thinkers from graduates to scientists and business owners and entrepreneurs to launch their Big Idea, research or other venture.

Program Overview:

The Postdoctoral Scholar Certificate at the American Liberty University is non-degree and is designed for leaders pursuing advanced studies beyond the doctoral level in preparation for an independent career and to prepare participants for practical and academic, teaching and research careers in business as well.

This Postdoctoral Scholar Certificate focuses on the issues faced by healthcare and businesses – small or large, public or private in developing and developed countries. The research often draws from theories and concepts from different areas, making it relevant for both academicians and practitioners in various business disciplines.

The Postdoctoral Scholar Certificate program provides a solid foundation in the core business disciplines and healthcare that are most crucial for each participant’s chosen area of specialization, as well as an understanding of the pedagogical and teaching methods commonly used in business schools. The PD program curriculum enables participants to maximize the connections between their doctorate degree training and business topics to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue an academic and professional career internationally.

DISSERTATION:

Each Postdoctoral candidate is required to complete a dissertation that embodies original and independent research and demonstrates advanced scholarly achievement. As soon as possible after a student’s admission to candidacy, and during or before enrollment in Dissertation Course, the student forms a dissertation committee.

The dissertation committee consists of a minimum of three members. Two shall be chosen from the faculty of the Department; the third may be a member of the faculty of another Department within the American Liberty University, or a person holding a doctorate degree outside the University. The Chairperson and committee are chosen by the student, approved by his/her advisor, and then formally appointed by the Dean of the Department.

The submitted dissertation becomes the property of American Liberty University, but the University does not limit the author’s right to publish the results.

The dissertation must satisfy one of the following criteria:
